Privacy Policy for the Jim Masseys Cleaners and Laundry Mobile App and Online Services

Last updated: August 18, 2026

Jim Massey, Inc. (listed in Google Play as Jim Massey Inc) operates the Jim Masseys Cleaners and Laundry mobile application, also referred to as Jim Masseys Cleaners and Laundry, Jim Massey Cleaners Mobile, or the App. The App’s Android package name is com.spot.mdc.jmcal. In this Privacy Policy, “Jim Massey,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Jim Massey, Inc.

This Privacy Policy explains how we access, collect, use, disclose, retain, protect, and delete information when you use the App, our website at https://jimmassey.com, Customer Connect, and related online services (collectively, the Services).

The App and portions of the Services are provided using technology and services supplied by SPOT Business Systems, LLC and its affiliated Xplor companies (SPOT/Xplor). When SPOT/Xplor processes customer information to provide the App and related services to us, it acts as our service provider or data processor.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

  1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use, the permissions you grant, and how you interact with us.

  1. Account and contact information

We may collect:

  • Your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
  • Customer number, account identifiers, login or authentication information, and account status.
  • Store, route, pickup and delivery information associated with your account.
  • Communication, notification, and marketing preferences.
  • Information you provide when creating or updating an account, requesting service, entering a promotion, referring a friend, submitting feedback, or contacting us.
  1. Cleaning, order, and transaction information

We may collect:

  • Current and past orders, receipts, charges, payments, discounts, credits, and rewards activity.
  • Garment or household-item information, including item type, brand, color, service requested, identifying barcode or heat-seal label, cleaning preferences, stains, special instructions, and order status.
  • Drop-off, ready, pickup, delivery, locker, and route-service information.
  • Customer-service notes and communications concerning an order or account.
  1. Payment information

If you add a payment method or make a payment through the Services, payment information is transmitted to SPOT/Xplor, a payment processor, financial institution, or another payment-service provider as needed to process the transaction and support features such as Express Pay.

Depending on the payment service used, we may receive or retain a payment token, card type, expiration date, billing information, and the last four digits of the payment card. We do not use payment information for purposes unrelated to providing and administering your requested services.

  1. Location information

The Google Play Data Safety disclosure for the App identifies location as a data category the App may collect. Depending on the App version, feature used, device settings, and permissions you grant, the App may collect approximate or precise device location to:

  • Help identify nearby Jim Massey locations.
  • Support pickup, delivery, route-service, or “on my way” features.
  • Provide directions or relevant store information.
  • Help prevent fraud, protect accounts, and troubleshoot the Services.

The App does not use location information for third-party behavioral advertising. You may control location access through your device settings. Some location-based features may not work if permission is denied.

If an App feature accesses location when the App is closed or not in active use, the App will provide a prominent in-app disclosure and request the required permission before that access begins.

  1. Device, app activity, and diagnostic information

We and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Internet Protocol address, device type, operating system, App version, language, and general device settings.
  • Device or app identifiers, customer or installation identifiers, session identifiers, and push-notification tokens.
  • App interactions, features used, access times, referring pages, and related usage information.
  • Crash reports, performance information, error logs, and diagnostic data used to secure, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • General location inferred from an Internet Protocol address.
  1. Communications

We may collect the content of messages, feedback, support requests, survey responses, and other communications you send through the Services or to our personnel. We may also record whether a service-related or marketing email, text message, or push notification was sent, delivered, opened, or acted upon where the communication service provides that information.

  1. Website and cookie information

Our website may use cookies, pixels, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, measure traffic, improve performance, prevent fraud, and evaluate our marketing. These technologies may collect browser type, device information, Internet Protocol address, pages viewed, links selected, referring website, and visit dates and times.

Our website may use service providers such as Google Analytics or Meta technologies. Website analytics and advertising technologies are separate from the operational data processing performed through the App. You can control many cookies through your browser or any cookie controls made available on our website.

  1. Sources of Information

We may collect information:

  • Directly from you.
  • Automatically from the App, website, device, browser, or communications technology.
  • From Jim Massey stores, employees, route drivers, lockers, and customer-service personnel when they process or update your account or order.
  • From SPOT/Xplor and other service providers that operate the App, point-of-sale system, payment services, communications, analytics, security, hosting, or related functions on our behalf.
  • From third parties when you ask or authorize them to provide information to us.
  1. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and support customer accounts.
  • Accept, process, track, fulfill, and deliver cleaning and laundry orders.
  • Show order status, history, receipts, rewards, coupons, prices, and account information.
  • Process payments and administer credits, discounts, rewards, and refunds.
  • Schedule or manage pickup, delivery, route, locker, and “on my way” services.
  • Notify you that an order is ready and send other service-related messages.
  • Respond to questions, feedback, complaints, and support requests.
  • Send offers and promotions from Jim Massey when permitted by law and consistent with your communication preferences.
  • Personalize and improve the Services and customer experience.
  • Monitor performance, diagnose problems, maintain systems, and develop or improve features.
  • Authenticate users; protect the safety, integrity, and security of accounts, transactions, the App, and our systems; and detect or prevent fraud, misuse, or illegal activity.
  • Enforce our agreements and protect our rights, property, customers, personnel, and others.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, law-enforcement, and court requirements.
  • Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Carry out another purpose disclosed to you at the time information is collected or with your consent.
  1. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We do not permit third parties to use App personal or sensitive user data for their own behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  1. Service providers and data processors

We may provide information to vendors that process it only to perform services for us, including:

  • SPOT Business Systems, LLC and affiliated Xplor companies that provide the App, point-of-sale integration, account, order, hosting, support, and related technology.
  • Payment processors, acquiring banks, card networks, and fraud-prevention providers.
  • Cloud hosting, database, cybersecurity, customer-support, email, text-message, push-notification, mapping, analytics, and diagnostic providers.
  • Professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, and consultants.

These providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services, comply with law, or protect the Services. We require providers to handle information under appropriate confidentiality, privacy, and security obligations.

  1. Legal, safety, and rights-protection purposes

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, a subpoena, court order, valid governmental request, or other legal process; investigate or prevent fraud or illegal activity; protect a person from harm; enforce an agreement; or protect the rights, property, systems, customers, or personnel of Jim Massey, our providers, or others.

  1. Business transactions

Information may be transferred as part of a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction. Any recipient will be required to handle personal information consistently with applicable law and the commitments in effect at the time of transfer.

  1. At your direction or with your consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, use a feature that requires the disclosure, or otherwise provide consent.

We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, as permitted by law. We do not attempt to re-identify information that we maintain as de-identified.

  1. App Permissions and Your Choices

The App may request device permissions needed for particular features, such as location or notifications. Android provides controls that allow you to grant, limit, or revoke many permissions. Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

You can:

  • Review or change App permissions in Android settings.
  • Turn push notifications on or off in the App or device settings.
  • Update available account and profile information through the App, Customer Connect, or by contacting us.
  • Unsubscribe from promotional email by using the unsubscribe link in the message.
  • Opt out of promotional text messages by replying STOP.
  • Contact us at contactus@jimmassey.com to change marketing preferences.

Opting out of marketing does not stop order-ready notices, security messages, receipts, account notices, or other non-promotional communications needed to provide the Services.

  1. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.

The retention period depends on the type of information and why it was collected:

  • Account and profile information is generally retained while the account is active and until the account is deleted, subject to the exceptions below.
  • Order, receipt, payment, tax, accounting, and related business records may be retained after account deletion for the period reasonably necessary to satisfy legal, tax, accounting, chargeback, fraud-prevention, warranty, insurance, and dispute-resolution obligations.
  • Location used only to perform a location-based App function is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for that function. If location becomes part of a pickup, delivery, fraud-prevention, or transaction record, it may be retained with that record.
  • App logs, security records, and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period based on operational, security, fraud-prevention, and troubleshooting needs.
  • When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it until deletion is possible. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups and are deleted or overwritten through the normal backup lifecycle.
  1. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your App account and the personal information associated with it.

Outside the App

Visit https://jimmassey.com/app-account-deletion/ or email contactus@jimmassey.com with the subject line App Account Deletion Request. Please provide the name, email address, and telephone number associated with the account so we can locate it and reasonably verify the request.

After verification, we will delete or anonymize the account and personal information associated with it that is not required for a permitted retention purpose. Information that must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, payment, chargeback, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes will be restricted to those purposes and deleted or anonymized when the applicable retention period ends.

Deleting the App from a device does not by itself delete the account. Opting out of marketing also does not delete the account. We may contact you to verify a request and notify you when it has been completed.

  1. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal and sensitive information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards include encryption in transit using modern cryptography, access controls, authentication, security monitoring, employee and provider confidentiality requirements, and measures appropriate to the nature of the information.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your login information, use a secure device, and notify us if you believe an account or personal information has been compromised.

  1. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the App from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, contact us at contactus@jimmassey.com so we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.

  1. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; to withdraw consent; or to object to or restrict certain processing.

To submit a privacy request, email contactus@jimmassey.com or use the contact information below. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Certain information may be exempt from a request where permitted by law.

  1. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to websites, maps, app stores, social-media platforms, or other services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information to them.

SPOT/Xplor’s privacy notice is available at https://xplor.com/privacy-notice/. SPOT/Xplor generally processes App customer information for Jim Massey as a service provider or data processor, so this Jim Massey Privacy Policy controls how Jim Massey uses that customer information.

  1. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Services, data practices, providers, legal requirements, or other circumstances. We will post the updated policy at https://jimmassey.com/privacy-policy/ and change the “Last updated” date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
